In this IT CC cream review, I’m sharing my honest input after using it for over a year. My skin is mostly oily and dewy, but bear with me because the overview is true for all skin types.
I’m also sharing a summary of the main differences between the Original vs. the matte vs. the illumination CC cream versions and bringing a couple of alternatives in case you want to vary a bit! Let’s do it! 😀

IT CC+ Cream With Spf 50+ Review
The Original version of the IT CC+ Cream Is a color-correcting, full-coverage foundation that conceals imperfections while treating the skin. I like the idea that It’s anti-aging, has 50+ SPF protection, and it’s suitable for all skin types.

Skin Benefits – 5 Stars
If you use this product, then you can expect to have a 7 in 1 treatment:
- Full coverage foundation
- SPF 50+
- Color corrector / Fix uneven skin tone
- anti-aging Serum
- Primer
- Dark spot concealer
- A day-to-day moisturizer that contains hyaluronic acid
Ingredients – Formulation – 5 Stars
The formulation is developed to treat your skin. The top key ingredients are TITANIUM DIOXIDE 9% and ZINC OXIDE 6.3%. The first is indicated to brighten skin complexion, while the second is great for protecting your skin from free radicals.
Consistency – Texture – 4 Stars
The It cc cream has a thick texture with a creamy, dense consistency. I give it a four on a scale from 1 to 5 because I love the no-makeup makeup look. It can feel a little dense on the skin and a bit obvious that you are wearing makeup if you are not careful to apply the right amount.
BLEND-ABILITY – 4 Stars
I will give it a four again because I could not blend it well with my fingers. However, it worked fine with the sponge. If you want, try using it with a foundation brush, which is also fine.
Coverage & Finish – 5 Stars
This is full coverage even if you apply a small amount of the product. Additionally, it is an excellent option to cover acne scars and rosacea. You need to build up your layers.
As I prefer a natural finish, a tiny bit of the product covers my entire face. Also, I don’t need to apply concealer when using this foundation.

Large Pores minimization: I found it was terrific for covering pores. Some makeup will worsen your pores, but this cream doesn’t clog the pores.
Durability – 5 Stars
It is significant and long for normal healthy skin; even though I heard it wouldn’t last too long on oily skin, it lasted longer on my (oily) skin.
I had to re-touch once, which makes me prefer the matte oil-free version. However, it will last longer on colder days because of less sweat and heat.

Skin Type: This It cosmetics cc cream is suitable for All Skin Types

it cosmetics cc cream review: before and after
Here you can look at some before and after pictures I took to demonstrate what it looks like. I have an uneven skin tone at the moment because of the sun.

I used one pump and my fingers to spread the product on my face. The shade I’m using is Medium light. I think I will get a darker shade next time!

The foundation tackles various skin concerns. You can see on the picture it evens skin tone, unifies the skin texture, and covers dark circles; even though this is not the matte finish cc cream, it adjusted well to my oily skin.
CC+ Cream vs CC+ Oil-Free vs CC+ Illumination Vs CC+ Nude Glow
As you know, it offers four types of CC creams: the original one, the matte, which is free from oils; the Illumination cream and the most recent one, the Nude glow. Look at the table below for a quick overview of those.
The Other IT CC Creams
- The Original: It’s color correcting, has full coverage, has sun protection (SPF 50), and contains great ingredients such as hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and vitamins. Suitable for all skin types.
- Matte Oil Free: Designed for oily skin, it’s also color correction and anti-aging. Sunscreen protection (SPF 40) and the pore minimizer have higher coverage than the others. Ingredients include charcoal to detoxify, colloidal clay, and tea tree extract.
- Illumination: This version is also anti-aging, hydrating and provides full coverage and SPF 50. The difference is that it contains illuminated particles (micronized light-reflecting) pigments that intensify a glowy effect and radiant skin.
- Nude Glow: This is a brightening foundation, and it’s the lightest of all cc creams in this line. It provides medium coverage, is hydrating, and counts with SPF 40.
Alternative To IT CC Cream
If you want a good alternative to the IT CC cream, you should get to know the Chanel CC Cream. The texture is thick, but it offers great, long-lasting full coverage. It also comes with SPF 50, which is a plus. Look at my full Chanel CC Cream Review version to know if this is really good!
