In this Kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale Review, I am sharing with you everything I can about this hair serum.
I was quite excited as I decided to spend some ‘big’ money 🙂 on the latest Kerastase serums.
I got the three Elixir Ultime serums, they are the L’Huile Originale, the L’Huile Légère and the L’Huile Rose.
I know they are a bit more expensive than the average, but I needed to try.
Sometimes Kerastase launches products that I don’t like, but most of the time, I tend to love most of their products.
I am gonna be honest here, I was excited but I was skeptical at the same time.
A long time ago I wrote a review of Kerastase elixir oil vs Moroccan oil and in the end, I thought Moroccan oil was better than Kerastase for my needs.
But now, Kerastase is relaunching the Elixir oil and I have a lot of things to share with you.
Kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale Review
The Kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale is a great ally for dull opaque hair.
If you want your hair to be as shiny as gold, then this is the best fit for you.
If you have read my reviews, you already know that I don’t say a product is good when it isn’t.
Plus, I have frizz-prone hair that is extremely dry and I tend to be very demanding while evaluating my products.
This is a product that can deliver deep nutrition for all hair types including my hair that was dried out.
So, it offers not only shine and nutrition but can also be used as a heat protectant.
Just make sure that the heat doesn’t exceed 230° degrees.
Use this serum if you are looking for:

How To Use The Kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale?
There are many ways to use this serum, you can be creative, but I am going to share how I do it.
Hope you can get inspired and maybe try my suggestions, I can say that this has been working really well for me!
Firstly we can use it normally just apply one or two pumps on my hands and I warm it a bit by rubbing the hands together and then I apply it on wet or dry hair.
This is classic, and we all know that right? 🙂 But there are a few other ways you can use this serum.
Mixing With Hair Masque And Other Hair Treatments
One good way is to add one or more pumps on the serum to your weekly hair masque.
You add and mix it and then go ahead to your hair treatment, and it will potentialize your treatment. You can also add it to hair conditioners.
Before Shampoo
What about using it as a pre-shampoo treatment?
A quick tip that is amazing and will potentialize your hair treatment is to warm the serum a bit in the microwave.
Then you apply it to the hair extension and leave it there for a few minutes.
Just make sure that you don’t heat the oil too much. This is just to warn it up a bit.

We have some fancy ingredients that will guarantee your hair will look the best ever.
This serum is infused with a blend of Amla extract, camellia, argan and corn germs oils.
I love to blend oils and I love the fact that I am buying a powerful blend that is practical. I don’t need to have all these oils all over the place.
I just trust this one bottle and can have the benefits these oils can offer.
And talking about benefits, I think it is really important to know the benefits that we can get from the extracts used in the formulas of the products we use.
Let’s dive a bit more deeper on the benefits these oils can offer to our hair.
Amla extract
Amla oil can be extracted from the fruit of the Indian gooseberry tree and is really powerful.

Corn Germ Oil
I never heard about it before and I was like wow, that’s something interesting.
Corn germ oil is rich in fatty acids which is very moisturizing, can contain omega 6 and is high in vitamin E.
Hair can get really hydrated and its texture can be gradually improved by the use of these oils.
L’Huile Originale Smell & Texture
The texture is just the same as any hair serum.
In my opinion, it is a bit thick but just enough to seal your hair without leaving it sticky.
It won’t weigh down your hair so if you have dry hair you can apply as much as you can until you feel the hair is hydrated without having this super oily and gluey look.
If your hair is not so dry just apply a little bit to bring that shine and softness and you will be good to go.
The smell is amazing I cannot explain exactly, but smells like a luxurious body mist.
L’Huile Originale Review First Impressions
The first impact starts with the presentation. The box is golden and so beautiful.
When you open it, the bottle looks like a diamond and it is not plastic, it is a glass bottle.
OK, presentations apart, let’s talk about what really matters which is how it performed on the hair.
I opened the bottle and applied more than the 2 pumps, which was recommended.
But just because I wanted to make sure all my hair was covered by it. Later on I discovered I don’t need that much product.
If I could define what I saw with one word it is Shine. The hair got surprisingly shiny instantaneously.
I also noticed the frizz melted down and that the hair texture immediately improved.
You should not expect volume reduction, but you will notice this stuff works since the first application.
The day after Experience
The day after I still could enjoy the results of using this oil.
It is true when they say it reduces frizz and even the next day, I noticed 98% less frizz than normally.
I obviously used this oil again the next day, and I noticed the hair got even better.

My hair is dry and frizzy and voluminous so I was really interested to test and see if this serum was going to do any good.
This is a treatment oil that will improve your after continuous use, but you will surely see amazing stunning results since the first application.
I was really surprised because previous versions of this oil were not as powerful as this updated version is now.
The first version was good I must say but this one is much better and I am definitely going to use and re-purchase it in the future.
The key benefits I noticed on my hair was shine, frizz reduction and the hair texture was amazing.
I highly recommend it!
