The morning is the essential part of our day, as it is with the morning events, we determine whether our day will be more relaxed or hectic. 

When you have an organized morning routine that allows you to do your morning activities without rushing, your day is more likely to be lighter and healthier.

Before going to bed, try to pack everything you need for the next day. 

Choose the clothes you will wear, separate all essential documents and papers, and ensure your wallet will be in your purse, backpack, or pocket.

Sleep experts claim that humans have to sleep between 7 to 8 hours a day to have a good night’s sleep.

Try to relax and slow down two hours before bed with that in mind. 

For example, if you eat or exercise just before bed, your body will continue to work quickly, and you will not be able to get a good night’s sleep, consequently affecting your morning routine.

When we wake up, we are still at the border between sleep and reality, causing our mind and body to become sluggish. 

The way is to take it as soon as the alarm clock rings, wash your face, and have a glass of cold water.

Sometimes we get up in a hurry to start the day and forget to tell our bodies that it’s time to move!

I like to get out of bed, sit on the mat, stretch my arms, legs, and spine, and take a deep breath. 

It only takes a few minutes, and believe me; the whole body is lighter!

2. Meditation & Prayers

Many excellent meditation apps, with guided sequences of a few minutes, help us focus on the breath and empty the mind. 

I usually meditate for 5 minutes only, and I enjoy the calm of emptying my mind and escaping a little from the reality of so many tasks.

Take this time to say your prayers and connect with God.

3. Prepare a refreshing drink

You can drink your coffee, but preparing a nice healthy smoothie with fruits and vegetables is also good.

If you like, you can make healthy green juice and will benefit long term.

4. Reading

Your reading time will depend on your reality and your family, but whether it’s 5 or 50 minutes, the tip is: leave your cell phone away. 

Often we end up giving up reading because we get distracted by notifications, and time goes away!

Grab your beautiful drink, sit in a comfortable place, and set out how many minutes (or pages) you will dedicate to the book. 

Even if it’s just a little bit, making this a daily habit will surprise you with the evolution of your reading!

Another tip is to find audiobooks for the days; you just want to sit back and relax.

5. Taking Notes

After these few minutes of self-care in the morning routine, I tend to be so fresh in my head that I’m in the best shape to write! 

I like to list thoughts, ideas, and things that can become texts later or simply help me better plan the day and the activities I intend to do.

I use apps like Evernote and Trello to organize myself properly if they are work ideas. 

If they are free thoughts, I usually write in a physical notebook. It’s amazing how paper gives different inspirations, right?

I always write the to-do list for the day in my planner to finish the morning.
