Let’s Get Started!

Makeup Essentials To Carry In Your Bag

Every woman knows that makeup is the best ally to highlight her natural beauty and hide small imperfections.

Therefore, some basic items cannot be missing from the bag.

To help you choose which products should always be on hand, we have separated a complete list. Write them down!

Liquid or powder foundation

Liquid foundations are ideal for almost all skin types, except for some oily ones. If this is your case, prefer a powder.

The ideal is to have two different shades in the bag.

One should match your skin tone, to give that touch-up to the coverage, and the other a little darker, to help add depth to T-zone areas.

Blush

The ideal is to have a blush on hand to maintain the color, and ensure that the look lasts all day.

The rosiest ones look perfect on the lighter skin tones and give that healthy look.

Oranges and browns look better on brunettes and give a tanned look.

Mascara

Don’t run the risk of running out of mascara, it makes your eyes stand out, as well as being practical and easy to apply and touch up.

Sometimes all you need is mascara!

Moisturizing Lipstick

Use transparent, hydrating lipstick, as keeping your lips healthy is important.

When you’re going to spruce up your look and apply a red lipstick, your lips should not look dry or cracked.

Lip moisturizer

During the day, as we talk, eat and expose ourselves to the action of the sun and the humidity (or lack thereof) of the air, the mouth can end up getting dry and have a tendency to crack.

To avoid this, it is important to always carry a good lip balm in your bag.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is not make-up, but it is primarily responsible for keeping your beauty up to date.

Never leave the house without using good sunscreen and remember to reapply during the day.

It is important to point out that this needs to be done every day, even when the sun seems to be between clouds.

Now, if you prefer to have a more complete kit, in addition to retouching your makeup to provide a new look, we have separated some items.

You’ll be able to leave work and head to that party without having to go home first.

The Complete Checklist

So far, we talked about the basics but below you can find a longer list of what to keep in your purse makeup bag.

  • Tinted Sunscreen
  • Compact powder;
  • Concealer
  • Blush;
  • Pencil;
  • eyeliner;
  • Mascara;
  • Lipstick;
  • moisturizer;

What to pack in your makeup bag for traveling?

Pick Up The Essential

Separate essential items for a basic travel makeup kit such as foundation, eyelash mask, blush, and lipstick are usually the most wildcard if you need concealer.

A tip is to use waterproof, long-lasting products if you will spend the whole day outside.

If you don’t know what to pack for travel makeup, choose multifunctional items to organize your suitcase without too much space.

Because they serve for more than one thing, it helps in this matter of volume.

For example, contour palettes that already come with blush and highlighter.

Tinted Sunscreen

When I travel to the beach, I like to take tinted sunscreen, as I can apply it during the day.

The coverage is good, and it still protects from the sun’s rays that I’ll catch on the beach or the street when I walk around.

Tinted Lip Balm Or Oils

For the day, I love tinted lip balms or tinted lip oils. I must confess that I am totally in love with lip oils.

If you don’t have tinted oil but still want a lip balm, you can use coconut or olive oil.

On Amazon, you can buy lip balm tubes that you use to put these oils for traveling.

Lipstick

I only take two colors for the lipsticks and sometimes just red lipstick.

I love pinkish or nude tones for the day and a red one for the night.

I think red lipstick brings elegance and makes us chicer lol.

Tip: Matte lipsticks have a longer-lasting coverage, so you don’t have to keep touching them up, but they dry out your lips more.

Concealer

You have your tinted sunscreen, but a good concealer will often be a deal dealer.

Choosing a good concealer is not an easy task.

For a perfect camouflage, it is necessary to be aware of some points, such as the type of dark circles, the cost-effectiveness of the product, and animal testing, among others.

Blush

There are small blushes on the market like Sephora or Benefit; they are the ones I use.

When I am traveling or don’t have much space in a bag, I love using stick blush, which is very handy.

You can choose a semi-bronzing shade that fits any travel look.

Mascara

For traveling, I like to bring waterproof mascara. For the beach, I love clear mascara.

Sometimes it is not easy to find, clear mascara, but you should definitely get it if you have the opportunity.

Finally

For settling the makeup, you can use the small thermal water that will hydrate your skin; it fits in the bag and does the fixing work.

To remove the makeup, in my opinion, the best option is makeup remover wipes, instead of lotions.

The liquid makeup remover takes up much more space and weighs in the suitcase.

Second, I’ve already lost one of those that opened in the briefcase and split everything, and third, you’ll still have to take the cotton.

But if you don’t give up the liquid, bet on the travel size versions, which are smaller and more economical, such as the one from Bioderma.

Beach Makeup List

This kind of beach makeup is super basic and easy so I’m just going to describe what goes in my travel makeup bag for the beach.

  • Tinted sunscreen
  • Clear mascara because it won’t run and smudge you
  • Light lipstick or gloss
  • Concealer if needed (if the protector doesn’t work)

On The Airplane

And the best way to store makeup in your suitcase is in a toiletry bag.

It’s more organized, and you know exactly where you are in your suitcase.

But I carry lipstick and concealer with me on plane trips.

And put the liquids in a bag if you’re going to leave them in the suitcase, so you don’t risk getting everything dirty if it leaks.

I think these simple travel makeup items are the most important to take with you.

Travel Makeup Checklist:

  • Lipstick – 2 colors
  • Concealer
  • Blush
  • Clear or waterproof mascara
  • Colored Sunscreen or BB Cream
  • make-up remover wipe

What To Keep In Your Purse Makeup Bag [Night Out]

If you want to go out partying, for the disco, wedding or anything else, you will probably bring a small bag.

In this case, I bring a blush, lipstick, translucent powder, and concealer.

These are my non-negotiable if my bag allows me to bring them.

When the bag is too small, then I bring a concealer, a stick blush, and translucent powder because I have oily skin.

If you have dry skin, you may not even need to bring the powder with you.

Othe Makeup Ideas To Bring On Your Bag

Some women also like to carry an eyelash mask in their bag to give their eyes more power by retouching the layers during the day.

Another beauty product that can be your ally is the makeup fixing spray with anti-oil action.

This product will work like a translucent compact powder, as it penetrates the skin leaving a matte effect and prolonging the duration of makeup.

In addition, it is also worth taking with you a miniature of the perfume you usually wear.

That way, when you feel the scent is gone from your skin you can reapply the scent and feel fragrant again.
